I know I am a bit late, but its better late than never. As some of you may know Friday April 4 marked forty years since the assassination of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Doctor King was a great man who did and meant a lot to this country. He was dedicated and convicted to his cause. He pressed for equality and peace throughout the world. A martyr, man of God, and civil rights activist Dr. King proved himself to earn every bit of respect and appreciation we give him today. In forty years this country has come a long way. We still have a long way to go, but we have made significant progress since the time of Dr. King. The question is: are we taking advantage of the opportunities we are being given? Are we really doing the best to take advantage of the opportunities countless men and women got beat, went to jail, and died for? That is a question we must ask ourselves in order to truly take this country to the next level.
